A quick rundown of a large portion of the picks:

1-1 – Deandre Ayton (PHO) – has looked phenomenal when playing, can’t wait to see PHO with him as well

1-2 – Marvin Bagley III (SAC) – has looked great when he has played

1-3 – Luka Doncic (DAL) – a future MVP?

1-4 – Jaren Jackson Jr (MEM) – has started off slow/hurt this year, but looked great in limited time last year

1-5 – Trae Young (ATL) – having a breakout year this year, already was a great scorer last year

1-6 – Mo Bamba (ORL) – durability issues, but has still shown promise, IMO

1-7 – Wendell Carter Jr (CHI) – part of a promising young Bulls corps

1-8 – Collin Sexton (CLE) – was inefficient, but still a great young piece as well. Better this year

1-9 – Kevin Knox (NYK) – same as above, but not as much better this year

1-10 – Mikal Bridges (PHO) – also looked good in limited minutes, need to see more of him

1-11 – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) – almost quietly having a breakout year too

1-12 – Miles Bridges (CHA) – playing much better on a Charlotte team that’s playing far above expectations

1-13 – Jerome Robinson (LAC) – likely still developing on a contending team

1-14 – Michael Porter Jr (DEN) – durability issues, but has looked VERY good when not hurt

1-15 – Troy Brown Jr (WAS) – ended last season really well & has carried it over this year, too

1-16 – Zhaire Smith (PHI) – not playing right now? Could be developing too, but took out all of last year for his allergies, so it’s all ok

1-17 – Donte DiVincenzo (MIL) – has played pretty darn well as a man off the bench for a large contender with one of the best players in the league. Had 17 points the other night, I think?

1-18 – Lonnie Walker IV (SAS) – lost last year to injury after looking great & has been publicly criticized by Pop for lack of work, so kinda mixed – but still looked promising

1-19 – Kevin Huerter (ATL) – has played better than Reddish this year tbh, has been a good bench guy too

1-20 – Josh Okogie (MIN) – inconsistent offensively, but stepped in (especially last year) defensively

1-21 – Grayson Allen (MEM) – not much now but who cares everyone hates him

1-22 – Chandler Hutchison (CHI) – has played little for the Bulls, but has been ok when doing so. Developing too?

1-23 – Aaron Holiday (IND) – great bench guy for the Pacers so far. 18 points last game

1-24 – Anfernee Simons (POR) – one of the first guys off the bench for the Blazers, played especially well at the end of last year too

1-25 – Mo Wagner (WAS) – Quietly averaging 11 & 5 right now for the Wizards’ second squad

1-26 – Landry Shamet (LAC) – hasnt had to do as much this year, but sure did some good work last year when called upon. Looks promising

1-27 – Robert Williams III (BOS) – despite pre & even post draft concerns, has stepped up with the loss of Kanter as of now

1-28 – Jacob Evans (GSW) – bench guy for the Warriors, so he’s bound to explode sooner than later

1-29 – Dzanan Musa (BKN) – looked much more promising last year, has played very little this year from what I can see

1-30 – Omari Spellman (GSW) – porous last year but has played MUCH better as a Warrior

And that’s just the first round. Looking at notable second rounders too:

2-33 – Jalen Brunson (DAL) – has been inconsistent, but the games where he’s on have been massive boons

2-34 – Devonte Graham (CHA) – having a breakout year as well, as we all know. Averaging 17 & 7 right now

2-36 – Mitchell Robinson (NYK) – still can’t believe he went as late as he did with how good he’s played. Inconsistent this season, but still.

2-39 – Isaac Bonga (WAS) – playing pretty well in a bench role for the Wizards, tbh

2-40 – Rodions Kurucs (BKN) – don’t approve of what he’s done if the allegations are true, but played well at the end of last season, FWIW

2-42 – Bruce Brown (DET) – has had to step in this year with starters hurt & has been a scorer, that’s for sure. 22 & 14 in two of the last three games

2-45 – Hamidou Diallo (OKC) – fantastic dunker, as we now know, & has looked like a solid bench piece – most of the time – for a “rebuilding”, young team

And of course Kendrick Nunn, Kenrich Williams, Duncan Robinson and Allonzo Trier have all had their games and stretches and weren’t even drafted.

  1. 19 huerter

    >has played better than reddish tbh

well 1) i’d expect him to lol, 2) thats a low bar offensively (that im not even super sure huerter’s hit, he’s been really.. really concerning so far and 3) yeah he honestly hasnt, sure he hasnt shot AS bad but.. he’s been a mess honestly

its cool cant expect you to have watched every team but everyone can slow down a bit on the huerter hype lol

  2. Brunson has been a little inconsistent to start this season but outside a few games these first couple weeks while Rick figures out rotations, he’s been consistently a really good rotation guy.
